Appenzeller Spitzhauben chickens are a lively, eye-catching breed originally developed in Swiss monasteries and known for their dramatic crests, active personalities, and excellent foraging ability. Hardy, alert, and wonderfully distinctive, they bring both beauty and energy to a flock while laying 4-5 medium to large white eggs per week, with minimal decrease in production over the winter.
